PEN & INK

I call myself a pencil artist because that's what I love...my first love but it's not all that I am.  As artists we explore many mediums...pen and ink is another love of mine.

I created this little 4x4 design with as many patterns as I could fit in one small space.

A little bit of ink and pencil for shading and viola!

I used my Copic pen on smooth Bristol for the perfect contrast.

I created this 4x4 design as a Valentine card and then a workshop.

It's drawn on a mixed media 4x4 tile that fits into a slotted card.

It's fun to use the tiles because if you mess up you can start another...you don't ruin your card.

Tiles can be mounted in a book as well.

I love to mix the linear with the organic...they compliment one another.

This is a pen and ink of a photo I took a few years back.

Just a simple line drawing

A flower study I did in one of my journals.

You can add colour to these drawings which totally changes the appearance.

This is is shaded with coloured pencil (surprise surprise) but you could use marker or watercolour provided you draw on a mixed media stock.

You can add pen and ink initials to handmade notebooks for the ultimate personal gift.
